Lucid Browser
Lucid browser is an open-source application which is used to surf the web. This browser is fast and has a user interface that is easy to use. Also, the application is not large in size. The browser can be used to download files (pdf, images, etc.).
Proposal
The application does not download folder that shows files that have been downloaded or file that is downloading.
The download folder in the application is used to keep track of downloaded files. Users can restart downloads, check download links, resume, stop and pause downloads with a in-app download folder.
Also, users can check the full details for their downloads using this in-app folder. The in-app download folder feature is also used when a users needs to open a recently or any file that has been downloaded using the browser. Also date's and size of the file will be shown by the in-app folder.
I will like to suggest that the in-app download folder feature should be included in the application (Lucid browser).
Mockups / Examples
Here's an edited screenshot of the application (Lucid browser) below, showing where the in-app download folder can be positioned:
And when Downloads is clicked a list of all download files is shown using the application. A pictorial illustration is shown below:
As shown in the image above, the download link appears, date, size and file name.
Here's an example of an application (Chrome browser) that has the feature below:
Source: Chrome
Benefits
With the in-app downloads folder feature, users will have easy access to their downloaded files. Also, users can take control of their downloads because the in-app download feature will give them the option to check thee download links as many times as possible. Users can restart, pause and stop downloads with this feature. In a case when a user needs to know where they downloaded a file from, with is in-app download folder, details of the downloaded file will be provided.
I believe the in-app download folder is an important feature for browsers.
