I have received comment from a few users pointing out that gridcoin.science (repo) did not generate the nice social media cards you may be used to from Twitter, Facebook, etc. You have almost certainly come across these cards, but may not have been aware of how they are generated. For example, here is a card used on the NASA Twitter:
The card is made up of the image/video, bold title, and description, which are pulled from the meta data of the linked content. Most platforms use a family of og:XXX tags, but Twitter likes to be difficult and has its own set of twitter:XXX tags. Both families are now fully integrated in the gridcoin.science meta data. The end result looks like this:
If you try to share the website on a platform that does not generate a nice card, please reach out to me on Slack (Dutch) or Reddit (Editorial_Meat), right here on Steemit/Utopian, or report the issue on the GitHub repository's issue tracker. I have noted all the issues already submitted, and they will all be addressed in the next release.
