Details
Fluffychat is a minimalistic messenger for ubuntu touch. It can be downloaded from the Open Source Store here.
Final logo
I created a concept based in the name of the project. The word "chat" also means "cat" in French, so I could play with that and make a fluffy chat bubble cat as an icon.
I also designed a banner for their Readme file in the repo.
Finally I designed the app logo with pink color background as requested by Project Owner:
Benefits / Improvements
The new logo is friendly, simple, easy to recognize and also multilingual.
The project gets a logo that is not generic. But it uses their official color so the users don't get confused.

Tools
I used Adobe Illustrator CC to create all my logo proposals, the app icon and the pattern for the banner. With Adobe Photoshop CS6 I finished the banner for the Readme file.
