Swipe is an android game that uses basic shapes as characters with preference to circles and squares. The task request can be found here.

Benefits / Improvements

The shapes are attractive and compliant with the project owners examples. Some shapes look nice (for the player), and others look creepy (for enemies) which is well-suited for the game.
