Introduction
This is a series of my Steemit promotion work going on in the university of Port Harcourt Nigeria. Promoting Steemit might be challenging, as most people you meet don't even know about cryptocurrency. So you find yourself in a position where you got to start from the elementary.
Talking to students about Steemit
Some questions from students
It's not uncommon to expect a lot of questions from Nigerian students, especially because they have been used to ponzi schemes which started and failed some few years ago. Thus the first question is always, is it a ponzi scheme? What is your benefit as a promoter? Do we have to promote before earning? I'm going to be giving out my answers to these as I presented to them.

Answers to their questions
Steemit is not a ponzi scheme, but a social media that rewards you for blogging. It's a platform you can socialize and meeting people, making friends and get rewarded for your creativity.

On Steemit you get paid in steem dollars and steem, a cryptocurrency that is unique to the steem block chain and convertible to other currencies.
On benefits of promoting, Steemit is not a referral business, thus promoters don't get recognized by promoting. Every promoter is doing a selfless or sacrificial work to help people know the right platform to belong.
It was a successful one as the students received the idea with much enthusiasm.
