Despite the fact that Mura is not a very recognizable brand, but some big names had already used their features such as : NASA,NATO,Intel,Adobe,...
Therefore, this would open up some new possibilities for startups and enterprises in the Middle East and North African region that uses Arabic as their main language of work.
Contribution Specifications:
• Translation Overview:
-This is the fourth part of my contribution.
-In this contribution i had translated some Strings and sentences in both the Core Admin file and the en_US.properties.
-The total count that i have achieved in this part was around 782 words (874 in the target language : arabic).
-This project is a great honor to me because it is going to provide the arabic community with some new possibilities.
• Languages:
This project is being translated from English to Arabic, although some
words are kept in english because people would be confused about their true meaning in Arabic.
• In this session:
I have finished the translation of the en_US.properties file, and still left about a 6% progress on the Core Admin file.
As i move forward in the translation process, strings are becoming much harder as context is generally missing and i have found myself digging for possible contexts more often than sticking with the right ones. and that's mainly because this projects contains a whole bunch of technical sentences, which would be difficult for a normal arabic user to understand if they weren't translated carefully and by making the phrasing as close as possible to some normal arabic sentences.
Generally, the translation is moving smoothly although this was the hardest project for me so far, clearly because it is taking me a lot of time to make suggestions and to double-check them.
