Introducing Steem to the Secondary!
Days ago because of the Steem Power Box I was invited by the Director Professor Marcelo Sánchez from the St. Joseph Mary College of Punta del Este to make a Conference and talk to the Teachers about the Steem Blockchain and how we can start making project supported by @Fundition and @Utopian-io.
By coincidence, the Events Saloon was used for a Cambridge exam and we were forced to make this gathering in a class saloon and in some way was great cause we were much closer one to each other.
I just had one hour to explain to 30 Teachers what the Blockchain, how it works and how Educational Center can take advantage of this powerful tool.
I started introducing the Steem Power Box project and explaining in which way if we get support from Steem, DApps and User we can achieve our goal if we work hard.
After that, I use to show my own profile to show examples of how things work or should to achieve the goals, also I show them the Wallets and all the possibilities we have according to move our rewards.
I know that one thing take to another, and talk about this is a mandatory topic to explain from where the money comes.... and believe me that I Love to explain that.
And for that my magic weapon is SteemNow as always, is a friendly and clear way to show VP work and is a visual help to make people understand how the votes system works.
Utopian was used as an example for all of them, and we talked about introducing projects related to Science, Technology and Engineering that is one important base of the Secondary School and making a cool mix between @Fundition, @Utopian-io and @SteemStem can be a great move for the Students.
Here showing @Fundition at SteemNow, and so cool they have plenty of VP! to show an example about how Curation Work must be done... Well done Guys, you rocks!
After this, show how UpVoting works is the way to make them understand and see all the explanation I did before.
Also DApps as for example DTube and DSound were Introduced too to show the possibilities that Students will have to show to the world they work and teachers were in love with all the chances and differents DApss that we have in our ecosystem.
Must say that studying acting for almost five years makes me want to be in a much more large space in front of people but anyway this meeting in this tiny place was just an amazing experience and 30 Teachers in less than an hour started to see the world with other eyes!
Thanks so much Director Professor Marcelo Sánchez from the St. Joseph Mary College and all the Teachers for the Good Vibes!
