Hello Friends!!
I am very excited to be contributing to this community as much as possible. This is making my brain to enhance its capacity 10x higher(being sarcastic). I am constantly debugging the pages and looking for problems which otherwise I would have ignored if I was not introduced to Utopian. Utopian's purpose is to encourage people like you and me to contribute to the public/open source applications which are constantly looking for help and suggestions as they entirely remain in the eyes of the public to better serve us all.
Current Utopian.io Activity Features:
As you can see that Utopian has the Activity tab which is linked with steemd.com which shows the users interactions of the steem blockchain. What this means is it will show all the activity of the user's account including comments, replies, upvotes and wallet transfers. Steemd shows every activity that took place even if that did not happen in the Utopian.io platform.
Reason for the change: Filter the Steemd.com activity for Utopian.io activity
Utopian.io has a unique purpose than Steemit and that's the sole reason why it was created. Utopian is the platform where contributors like myself who is also in Steemit for different purpose comes to contribute to the opensource community. There will be users who will occasionally contribute and there will be users who will contribute very often. If I wanted to see what happened in the utopian account right now, I will have to filter the posts from Steemd to select the posts that are for the Utopian.io and the non-Utopian.io posts. It will be very hectic for the users and unprofessional as the platform continues to grow.
My Proposal for the solution:
Create the "Blockexplorer" for Utopian.io
This is my side of the suggestion, Developers can take any approach they think will fit in.
Our purpose is to get the activity logs for the Utopian posts only and wallet history.
For this purpose, we should be able to use the Steemd API's to get the activity and pull the information which has the matching URL from the Utopian posts.
Note: URLs are first created using the title, but urls don't change even after the titles are changed.
It will be a better approach to retrieve the data by matching the url.
