Components
Lucid Browser is a free and open source web browser designed to be small, light, fast, and simple. The app itself is as small as about 4 MB, and the Donate version is only about 2 MB. The browser uses a custom homepage that loads locally for quick start-ups.
Proposal
The proposal that i am suggesting consists of few important features that are missing from the open source browser Lucid, this browser is fast and lite, so there is a need of few more features which are discussed below.
1. Recent Tabs It is an important feature which is available in many of the browsers where we can just scroll through the tabs which we have saved and visited recently, to know about the recents tabs we have used frequently we need this feature.
2. Add to Home Screen Another feature missing from the browser is add to home screen with which we can simply add the links or the sites we use frequently on the main screen for quick availability and quick access.
Now i will show you how the browser looks like and where the additional features are needed.
Above picture shows us the lucid browser and its features
Now the additional features are to be added here which i will show you in the next step.
Mockups / Examples
In this section i will show you how the features can be added, for that I am uploading a picture with added options to give a clear view of how the inclusion is possible.
Above picture shows the addition of features
The features are added to the available features.
Benefits
The benefits of these features are as under.
- Recent Tabs are important to know the tabs we have visited recently so that we can get to access and switch to the recent tabs rather than searching for the tab from a bunch of them, so the feature is important.
- Add to home screen keeps us away from opening the browser and we can open the link as soon as possible if the access has to be fast and if we want to access it frequently, and we can make many shortcuts at the same time.
Hope the features are added soon.
THANK YOU
