This is a feature that I think is becoming more important as we still don't have a clear way of establishing identities of people within Steemit other than the ability to show a picture of someone holding up a card.
I wrote about the concept of identity on steemit and talked about the concept of a 'consensus identity', something which is derived by your connections and associations with other people on steemit:

I think a simple way of implementing this feature to allow someone to establish more trustworthiness and credibility (through their interactions with other steemians and groups both online and in the real world) is to create a feature whereby teams that they are associated with through vetting on another network (e.g. Discord) can be recorded on their profile page as a 'badge' or 'stamp' alongside their account details.
There are two potential options where this feature could be implemented:
Option 1 is more visually appealing and prominent, and basically involves using the same profile image of the Discord server image in teams and allowing that to be added to your profile page like so:
Option 2 would be to create a section near or below the list of people that you follow that lists the teams that you are associated with.
Probably another way to implement this solution more efficiently would be to allow teams to be listed along with a call-to-action that triggers a Discord Invite link to be sent, and this would probably then require a page that lists all the teams currently on Discord at the moment:
I think this will allow a user's identity to incorporate associated teams, which will have also verified that this person is a valuable member of other associations and groups on steemit, and hence add much more value compared to just an individual with a profile.
