Here's a suggestion to add a Contact Icon to every Steemian's profile page. Of course, the suggestion also covers the fact that it can vary according to user's custom needs bounded by one's privacy. Thus it could acts as an additional feature to simplify one to one communication between Steemit users.
It's my 10th day in this 'Family like' community of Steemians. But i regret that I am not able to get in touch with everyone here directly. And the reason being that I am not able to communicate to everyone here directly. I was always expecting a feature that could help me to contact a person, whose posts attract me in terms of knowledge & uniqueness.
There are these few options I have used so far to get started with a conversation to any Steemit user, These options are: -
*Commenting on the user’s posts
*Commenting on the user’s comments made on Steemit
*Following the user
*Upvoting the post of this user
*Go to the Steemit Chat Forum
The other method, which I haven't yet tried is that to transfer some Steem Dollar amount to a user and attach a message in the Memo.
Despite of all these indirect ways of communication, It would be more Comfortable for the community in terms of convenience & simplicity if there would be a Contact Icon on a user's Steemit profile through which one can reach the fellow steemian.
Additionally I also feel that there should be a Social media link too. Depending upon the user's wish, if one feels to share their social media platforms it will play an important role in order to connect the community around the web, Thus, as per custome settiing that a user would choose, he'she should be able to include his'her contact details & social media links. That will help others to get them in touch directly.
If it isn't convincing, at least a tab to one's steemit Chat & discord should be their.
So that people can get closely connected & thus enhancing the interaction between Steemians.
The one to one interaction through this contact & social media connections will prove to be helpful to users in many ways. It will also become an option to directly share the steem posts to other social media platforms, thus spreading the Steem community's work.
Thus I feel that a contact tab on the Steemit profile page would be a useful feature for people to get connected.

You may neglect the Social media tabs, but at least consider Contacts tabs, Steemit Chat, & Discord. It would be extremely beneficial for private communication between Steemians.
Besides this, I also wish if there was an option for Direct message to a profile on the Mobile version of Steem that is "esteem".
I see no point in not including this feature.
