Introduction
This time I promoted a useful open source project. The name of it is VLC Media Player. VLC Media Player is actually known as free, open-source, portable and streaming media server. Lovely features like supports many audios and video compression methods and file formats, including DVD-Video, and streaming protocols are good enough to attract users to use it. Unfortunately, here in Bangladesh, this is not so popular. Peoples are using other applications for running the Media.
That's why I wrote a post about VLC Media Player on my Facebook page ''Outreach Program Of Open Source Projects" and boosted that to let the many peoples know about it.
Hopefully, my little effort will increase the VLC Media Player users in Bangladesh.
Audience
When created the campaign ad, the Facebook estimated that the promotion will reach 12.000 β 35.000 Bangladeshi peoples and I did spend some bucks (8$) for it.
- Targeted location: Bangladesh
- Age Range: 18 to 64+
- Potential Audience: 27.000.000 peoples (27 million)
- The population of Bangladesh: 163.000.000 peoples (163 million)
- Estimated Reach: 12.000- 35.000 peoples.
Activity
On 6 March, I published a post on facebook. On 6 March 2018 to 9 March 2018, i boosted this post. This campaign promotion ran for 3 days.

The VLC Media Player promotion was successfully done and got a nice result. There are 5651 peoples reached this post and they also clicked 31 times on post and 2762 Reactions, comments, & shares.
