Introduction
FlightGear (http://www.flightgear.org) is an open source flight simulator that is even used in flight schools to train basic maneuvers, radio communication and navigation tasks. It is available for windows, mac and linux.
In this article I want to introduce my development of the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 based on the original aircraft from xsaint Sep from 2011, a user in FlightGear who is not active anymore.
Bug Fixes
Since it was a old aircraft in FlightGear lots of things are not working anymore. The developer has stopped the development in 2011, after one year of working on it. I have fixed all errors and now it is a usable aircraft. Furthermore I made the autopilot and glass cockpit full working and added all animations for multiplayer mode.
New Features
- FDM adjustments
- 3D Model modifications
- Animations added
- Multiplayer animations fixed
- Yasim FDM to current version updated
- Cockpit Autopilot to working stadium modified
- Slats added in the 3D-Model and in the FDM
- New Splash screen and thumbnail
Roadmap
Altitude controller has to be fixed
FDM fine tuning
Livery picture and UV-map need some work
Sound from original aircraft needed
Implementing 3D-sound and multiplayer sound
