Project Details
Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript run-time environment that executes JavaScript code outside of a browser. Node.js unifies web application development around a single programming language, rather than different languages for server side and client side scripts.

Translation Overview
In this contribution I translated two files of Node.js, however, there are a few terms that require a more detailed definition, such as:
- REPL: "A Read–Eval–Print Loop (REPL), also known as an interactive toplevel or language shell, is a simple, interactive computer programming environment that takes single user inputs (i.e. single expressions), evaluates them, and returns the result to the user; a program written in a REPL environment is executed piecewise. The term is most usually used to refer to programming interfaces similar to the classic Lisp machine interactive environment. Common examples include command line shells and similar environments for programming languages, and is particularly characteristic of scripting languages." taken from wikipedia
- FOSS: " Acronym for Free or Open Source Software. FOSS programs are those that have licenses that allow users to freely run the program for any purpose, modify the program as they want, and also to freely distribute copies of either the original version or their own modified version. " source
- ANSI: " What is ANSI?
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is a non-profit organization that promotes voluntary conformity standards in the United States. ANSI also represents the United States in international standards organizations, helping to create guidelines that are universally accepted in multiple industries.
Without ANSI overseeing the development of standards and accrediting them, manufacturers could make their own versions of the same products that would not be compatible with each other, making use more difficult for consumers.
One example of the importance of standards can be found when trying on shoes that fit. Every shoe maker manufactures shoes in slightly different ways. This is why someone can be a size 10 with one brand and a 10.5 with another.
If ANSI were to accept a universal standard for shoe sizes, then all shoes marked as a size 10 would fit the same. ANSI standards have brought uniformity to a wide variety of industries, including the formatting of safety signage.
All ANSI standards are voluntary, but standards are often adopted by agencies with enforcement authority. The ANSI Z535-2011 standard, for example, was adopted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), making compliance with this ANSI standard part of the greater OSHA safety regulations."
