Having been on Steemit for a long while now and being constantly active on the platform, it has opened my eyes and ears to what being in a big community as this can be and that's why i really love being here because it's rewarding and worth it.
Am making this post to suggest the possibility of Steemians to be notified of "New Follower(s)/Unfollower(s)" and also the possibility of Steemians to know who recently "Followed/Unfollowed" them and they can then chose whether to follow them back or something.
This can easily be achieved by taking a cursory look at the current coding of the "followers" feature of the Steemit site as can be seen in the images below:
Also, as much as i greatly liked the alphabetical sorting of any Steemian followers list, i believe that it's not enough and i am sure many other Steemians will agree with me and also the inability of Steemians to be notified whenever they gains new followers or are being unfollowed should be addressed too.
And i think taking a cue from official Twitter platform will further buttress my point, which is that Steemians be able to receive notifications for both new followers or unfollowers and also be able to easily see/know their new followers(even if they currently have hundreds/thousands of followers). This will make Steemians have a better control of their account and easily decides on whatever they wishes to do with their new followers or unfollowers and it's better than seeing one's followers count be increasing or decreasing without knowing who. I believe this will really be a nice feature that many Steemians will surely appreciate.
I hope this echoes the feelings and sentiments of some(or most) active Steemians too because it will really be nice once it's integrated on the official Steemit platform.
