I'm a very good user of the esteem App right from day of registration on Steemit.com and till date, I still use it to post and access my blog.
Recently, two days ago to be precise, I was trying to suggest adding a particular feature on the app, before I did that, I asked a fellow user of the app if the to-be-suggested feature was present on his phone App and he said yes. I was dazed and decided to check it out, that was when I realized that esteem had new looks, designs that look far better attractive than the one on my phone.
I didn't know this, why? There was no notification that my app was out-of-date. Not Every user has the time and luxury to keep checking on their play store or their IOS or whatever they visit to see if their app is updated.
To save this situation, I'd suggest that we get a notification of an app update stating specifically that "Your app is out-of-date" or ""App has expired". It should be mandatory for anyone that wants to access the features of the app to update the app before gaining access.
What does esteem App developers/users stand to gain?
- So far there's a new update, users can update theirs and see that app developers are not lazy/asleep
- Access to New features is guaranteed
- Ease of usage
Sadly, I don't have a screenshot of how the old version of the app used to be but I'll let you in on the new looks and features of the new version.
Screenshots below:
Updated app version 4.2
New app outlook
New features
And so many other features, get users notified of a new app update.
