Ciao Utopians, the mockup that follows has been inspired by this comment. In his reply to my post, highlights many other possible improvements to the day-to-day UX of steemit.com.
Components
What I propose in the mockups section below is the addition of simple yet useful functionality for the front-end of steemit.com. The proposed feature is the ability to View/Hide Resteems on the Feed page "My Feed".
Proposal
Visually, a boolean button, positioned in the top right of the Feed section, close to the (useless) post visualisation, will view/hide resteems from the personal feed of articles. The button will have an active state, in which the user will be able to see the resteems and a hide state, in which the resteems are hidden.
The activation/deactivation of the button will also trigger a post refresh to allow the user to browse new articles without reloading the page.
Mockups
The first mockup shows the disable state (HIDE) of the resteems button. In this state, as previously mentioned, the resteems are hidden on the Feed page.
The second one instead is the active state (VIEW) that mixes resteems within the personal feed, as it is now.

Benefits
Such minor addition could improve our daily user experience allowing users to find more article within their feeds. The feature is not disruptive; it just adds simple functionality without killing any previous legacy.
As the second benefit could be the possibility of having an auto-refresh of the feed everytime the button is pressed.
