I want to share my recent trip to a small but picturesque island of Curasao. It is just 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela and is part of the Netherlands, as well as Aruba, Bonaire and several other islands belonging to the group of Lesser Antilles.
One of the exciting experiences on the island was a visit to the Curacao Ostrich Farm. By going there, you will experience the feel of South Africa. The tour will take you for a ride over the entire farm in an old Mercedes Benz Safari truck.
During the course of the tour we took several stops to interact with the animals. They were super friendly and allowed me to feed them.
One of the other animals living on the farm were crocodiles. Most of the time they were submerged underwater in small reservoir, but once an a while they came up for air and I had a chance to take a shot.
It was a wonderful experience and all of us were so happy to know that the proceeds of the tour would go towards the preservation of these animals and their habitats.
