Day 5 in Florida
Wednesday was yet another unforgettable day here in Vilano Beach for and myself. Of course we started our day bright and early by relaxing on our covered deck, enjoying the sun's rise higher and higher into the clear blue sky. Before long we were headed towards the beach again. The ocean and sand are most certainly our favorite part about being here in Florida.
I just want to take a second to praise for her excellent selection in bathing suits. This one is my favorite that I've seen her wear so far. I am a huge fan of all of the flowers. The colors are just so pleasing to me. The best part is the golden and turquoise accents throughout the design.
I try my best to make sure that we are mixing things up each day with our photos. I think we have done an excellent job of that so far. Just because we are going to the same beach each day does not mean our photographs cannot be full of variety.
One of 's favorite parts about the beach is riding the crashing waves with her boogie board. I too enjoy using the beach board, but she by far is more in tune with her fancy foam than I am. We found her an awesome dinosaur boogie board at Wal-Mart a few nights back. She has used it every single day since then. Even I have tried it out multiple times, although I'm a bit too big for it. You can clearly see by the giant smiles on her face that she is feeling total bliss.
was a swimmer throughout her childhood, as was I. She on the other-hand was actually on a swim team. It is obvious to see that we both are extremely comfortable in water. I feel for anybody who is unable to enjoy spending time in the ocean like we are doing. Watching my girl get excited for a big wave and her rushing to make sure she catches it is quite possibly one of the most entertaining things in the entire world.
As usual, right around noon or 1pm we both are starving. We have been packing sandwiches and fruit to munch on while beaching. As you can see, I don't play around when it comes to feasting. I do however start clowning again as soon as I'm finished eating. I found a rather peculiar sea shell to use as a fashionable eye piece.
After the beach it was time to go find something else fun to do. and I agreed that this would be our fancy evening. So we each put on our best looking attire and prepared ourselves for what was to come the rest of the evening. She opted to wear one of my favorite dresses in her entire wardrobe. I love the pattern and how it opens up on the sides. She of course had some beautiful jewelry to pair it with, much of which she made herself. Little did she know that I wasn't going to be the only person to love how she dressed this evening.
As for myself, I had to go with my all-time favorite ocean camo Pink Dolphin shirt. If you notice, there are tiny white plus signs all over the shirt which stand for positivity, prosperity, and abundance.
We started the evening by heading to Vilano Beach Pier Pavilion. It was there that we found a giant duck that read: "Happiness is Vilano Beach Florida". I couldn't agree more with this giant ducky. There was also a statue of a trio of arching dolphins going overtop the pier, I didn't get a photo with that yet. We are going to have to head back to the pier soon since there were too many people fishing while we were there to get good photos of one another. At least I was able to pose on one of many available swings, it happened to match my outfit.
Right next to the Pavilion was a restaurant called Beaches. It was here that we sat outside on the shaded deck and had the best meal of our trip thus far. I had some amazing fried plantains and their catch of the day. had a chicken pasta of sorts. Mine was better than her's I do believe, but we were left satisfied following our dining experience. The only gripe we have with the place is that they were sold out of their fried cheesecake.
One of the waitresses made it a point to come over to our table and compliment on how sexy she was looking. I couldn’t agree more with her opinion.
After we finished our late lunch, we drove across the giant bridge seen in the preivous photos. This bridge takes us from Vilano Beach back to the main part of St Augustine. We were headed towards the historic district for the second time of the trip. I absolutely love how it all feels with it’s old cobblestone streets. The town was founded in 1565, so the layout is much more focused on the people walking around rather than cars driving on the road.
We were aiming to go to a shop called the Golden Gypsy. I must say I do consider this shop to be the perfect place for . They had so many cool items on display and fair prices. Most of the stuff in the store was handmade. They did not have tie-dye pants, which is the main reason we went there in the first place.
I noticed multiple women gawking at and her flowing dress. Some of those people were drunks who didn’t know any better. Others were sober gals who just couldn’t help but appreciate my lady’s ultimate sense of style.
We came back to the Airbnb after strolling through the historic district for a few hours. It was right then and there that I captured a few mesmerizing sunset photos of with one of the palm trees in our yard. Look at that girl glow!
Since the sun was beginning to set, we headed out to the beach for a bit more. This time it was to walk and take pictures, rather than swim in the ocean. I failed to mention before that I picked up a couple of new pairs of sunglasses while we were checking out many of the one-of-a-kind stores on the several hundred year old streets of St Augustine. I couldn't decide whether I liked the white or black pair of sunglasses more, so I just got both. Of course they each have a blue/green tint to the lenses. Me and teal go together like stink on poo.
and I have so much fun as a couple doing the most simple of things. There never is a dull moment when the two of us are with each other. Laughs come a plenty when we are given the freedom to spend time with one another.
We concluded this perfect day by cuddling up and watching a movie together. We decided upon The Mountain Between Us, which I must say is well worth watching. Two strangers are desperate to make their travel plans work out and end up working together to out-maneuver flight cancellations. They end up paying for a private charter plane and then things go south. They end up crashing on top of a snowy mountain peak and being forced to work together to survive. It is a pretty amazing story and I am glad we watched it.
We also ordered a pizza from Puccini's, which is just a few minutes from where we are staying. It is located right next to Publix, which is down by the Vilano Beach Pier. The pizza was pretty yummy, but a bit more on the cheesy side rather than having plenty of other toppings.
Thanks for checking out my blog 😎🤝
I hope you have been enjoying these vacation blogs at least half as much as and I have been. I know it is one thing to actually get to experience time at the beach. The next best thing is reading through an organized blog of most of what we have done here. We are about to get started with our Thursday now. Friday is our last full day here before leaving Saturday morning. To be honest I never want to leave the beach, but I am going to pretend like that isn't happening for now.
