I wake up and see a bunch of posts on my Facebook feed about Valentine's Day and honestly all I can do is laugh at the girls who are mad because their man didn't buy them something! I started here on steemit to use it as a place to vent because ...well I choose not to drive my family insane with my sometimes twisted beliefs or views of the world!
Why does today bother me...I'm not jealous or suffer from a broken heart...if this hearts broke it was my own doing. I see girls fighting with their so called love of their life because of some childish belief that he doesn't really love you unless he showers you with gifts today...this truly makes me gag!
I have been lucky enough to find a man to share my life with who shows me he loves me everyday! He builds me things for our home by hand, he takes the time to help when I need it or he thinks I may need it,. I could go on but why bother I know he loves me! So what I see is a lot of insecurities from theses girls...they forgot to put on their big girl panties I guess! What this world needs is less commercial BS Holidays instead we need to learn how to appreciate those who share their lives with us everyday! Take the time to appreciate the little things...he took the trash out today...don't act like that isn't enough be thankful. He cuts the grass or opens a door don't expect it just appreciate it. If you truly love one another a day like today should be just like any other day. You wake up happy to be alive and grateful that their is someone next to you to share it with. A glance or a smile should mean more that a box of chocolates...a kiss before bedtime worth more than a rose! Maybe I live in a lad of delusion but I don't wanna wake up cause my world is a wonderful world! Have a wonderful day and remember your awesome!
