I always eat a greater amount of salad in hot weather than I do in cold. Here is a guide to keep your luscious green salads healthy with a no fuss dressing formula! The formula allows you to be creative with your dressing choices and avoid those dressing which are ladled with saturated fat, animal products and nil nutrition.
This guide is oil free and dairy free! Add water at the end of your combinations to make the dressing as thick or thin as you desire :)
Base
Choose from these healthy, yet filling dressing bases;
- Hummus
- Tahini
- Miso Paste
- Nut Butters
- Mustards
- Nut cream cheeses
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Balsamic Vinegar
Tart, Sweet or Salty Layer
- Maple Syrup
- Lemon/Lime
- Agave Syrup
- Salt reduced Soy Sauce
- Hot sauce of your choice
- Almond Mylk
Final Touches
- Fresh herbs
- Dried spices
- Pepper
- Fresh ground garlic
- Nutritional Yeast
- Ground nori sheets
- Chia/Flaxseeds
EXPERIMENT as long as you have a base, layer and final touches your dressing can be all your own! All of these ingredients are nutritious, tasty and cruelty free.
