The top photo is my entry into juliank's ongoing photochallenge. As you pull onto Oregon Street, which is the main street of "old town" in Ontario, Oregon, you will find this fine vehicle all ready to take you wherever you want to go, just don't expect to get there any time soon. OK, don't expect to get anywhere, ever. It was just begging to be photographed on such a lovely day! We will do a full tour of Ontario another time, today is a photography smorgasbord.
The highway to Ontario is under construction now, so we came the back way. That route takes you by an interchange where three bridges cross over the highway in a rather pretty little arrangement. The bridge in the photo is taking you out of Idaho and into Oregon, it is taken from one of the bridges over the road. This is my submission to 's challenge that he mentions in this OLD post (so do NOT upvote it - go upvote one of his recent posts to show him some support!)
Yes, of course I turned around and got a picture of the other bridges too! It is a nice shot, I just thought the one above was better. Here are the other bridges:
Lets move on down the buffet, has a Tree Tuesday challenge and I just happen to have some pictures of some beautifully twisted old cottonwoods that are finally turning green.
I noticed the arrowleaf balsamroot is starting to bloom, should have some great landscape shots in the next week or two. They turn these green hills to yellow when they really get going, but those pictures have not been taken yet!
