The corruption in Venezuela is something else.
When you think about a bad country you think that they didnt help their people, but for me this government is the definition of this.
The Government of Venezuela has made things that seem to help poor people, but thats where they stay, poor.
I personally think that the problem is because since the minimum wage is so bad that people search for other ways to get money. But there was a time that we earn enough, so it tells me that you can do whatever and it is so hard to get cought.
I have seen people from the top to the bottom stealing.
The classic if you pay me i don't tell.
And this is how everything turn this way.
When i was searching for a night school while working they told me that i didn't need to go to get my grades. I keep searching.
I've seen so much of this that is just normal.
The regular cop can stop you, if you have something that they cannot confirm is yours they can take it.
It happened to me while i worked like Logistics in a company.
They wanted to keep the truck and the products that he needed to sell for them.
We tried to talk it out, but they had something else in mind.
The truck driver paid them a good amount and like it was nothing, he was free and there was no problem.
Now i work as an assistent in a school.
I said before that we cannot stop going even if there are protest, they care more about keeping people ocuppied, working.
I'm starting so i don't know how are thing there, but yesterday a guy show up, says he's from the water services and we need to pay.
I was confused so i tell him that i will do that, but the guy was mad for some reason. I was confused because i didnt know what to do, but when he was leaving he shout that he would take the water down until we pay.
I call everyone asking what was that about, and it was just the guy mad that i didnt offer him money to keep it.
Everything working like that is what keep this country this way, even if that guy couldn't take the water down from a school full of kids there is nothing that we can do about it, there is not a "report system"
For me this is socialism, or at least it has been all my life. Just people doing what they want.
