Hola, amigos de esta gran comunidad de anime.
Hoy vi un anime muy poco reconocido. En ocasiones, mis amigos y yo debatimos sobre distintas series, y por casualidad mencioné este título… pero ninguno lo conocía. No sabían de qué hablaba y me dijeron que nunca habían escuchado sobre él. No imaginan la belleza que este anime oculta.
Este anime gira en torno a Violet Evergarden, una de las mejores soldados y, sin duda, la guerrera más destacada en combate y estrategia. Después de una gran batalla que prometía ser el final de la guerra, ella y su capitán —la persona más importante para ella— sufren una emboscada del bando enemigo. En medio del caos, el capitán resulta gravemente herido, y Violet pierde ambos brazos. Fue una escena tan triste y desgarradora que solo pude mirar sin pestañear, sintiendo una mezcla de emociones tan intensas que terminé soltando algunas lágrimas.
En medio de aquella tragedia, ambos logran llegar a unas escuelas en ruinas, donde, con sus últimos alientos de vida, el capitán le pide a Violet que se marche, que lo deje atrás y salve su vida. Le ruega que viva plenamente, sin seguir más órdenes de nadie.
Ella, negándose con todas sus fuerzas, también gravemente herida, escucha las últimas palabras de su capitán:
“Te amo.”
Palabras que ella jamás había escuchado antes. Entre gritos y desesperación, pregunta qué significan esas palabras… hasta que finalmente se desmaya. Al despertar, aparece en un hospital, y lo primero que hace al recobrar la conciencia es preguntar por la salud y el estado de su capitán.
A partir de esos tristes acontecimientos comienza realmente el anime: una Violet vacía de sentimientos, con un profundo dolor desbordándola desde lo más hondo de su ser, intentando comprender qué significa el amor. Es una historia sencilla de seguir, pero les prometo que les llegará al corazón.
Este anime tiene muchas cosas de las que me gustaría hablar, pero no quiero arruinarles la experiencia a quienes aún no lo hayan visto, porque sé que no es tan conocido como muchos otros.

Today, I watched an anime that is not very well known. From time to time, my friends and I debate about different series, and by chance, I mentioned this one… but none of them knew it. They said they had never even heard of it.
They have no idea about the beauty this anime hides.
This story revolves around Violet Evergarden, one of the finest soldiers and, without a doubt, the most exceptional warrior in both combat and strategy.
After a fierce battle that was meant to end the war, she and her captain —the person most important to her— are ambushed by the enemy forces. Amid the chaos, the captain is gravely wounded, and Violet loses both her arms.
It was such a tragic and heartbreaking scene that I couldn’t even blink while watching it.
I felt such a storm of emotions that I couldn’t help but shed a few tears.
In the midst of that tragedy, they manage to reach an abandoned school building, where, with his last breaths, the captain asks Violet to leave him behind and save herself.
He begs her to live fully —to live her own life— without following anyone’s orders ever again.
She refuses with all her strength, bleeding and broken, but before losing consciousness, she hears her captain’s final words:
“I love you.” ❤️
Words she had never heard before.
Through screams and tears, she asks what those words mean… until she finally faints.
When she wakes up in a hospital, the first thing she does after regaining consciousness is ask about the health and whereabouts of her beloved captain.
From these heartbreaking events, the true story begins — a Violet empty of feelings, carrying a deep pain that floods her soul, trying to understand what love truly means.
It’s a simple story to follow, yet I promise it will touch your heart.
There’s so much more I could say about this anime, but I don’t want to spoil the experience for those who haven’t seen it yet, because I know it’s not as popular as many others.
