Photo: A Full Moon Rising With Jupiter Next To It, Seen Through The Coconut Fronds! 🌕 ✨

Two nights ago I was able to grab this snap of the moon which looked very full with a blazing bright Jupiter in the starless sky next to the moon.

I have always been fascinated by the stars and planets and have been using various apps to help me identify various celestial bodies.

Here is the moon with Jupiter next to it:

Years ago I witnessed a full moon, mars, jupiter, saturn and venus all rising behind an island in the distance. It was magical and I had just got my first app for identifying planets so I was able to get confirmation of what I was seeing.

What is fascinating is that under a full moon there are often not a lot of stars visible but the planets stand out. Perhaps that is because they are closer to us?

Whatever the cause it still strikes me as very magical! 😉
