Hi All. I wanted to take this chance to introduce myself and my newly born flower business. My partner, Andy and I started our farm, Tapalou Guilds 3 years ago in Guilford, VT. We are a mixed bag farm with a focus on growing perennial food crops, flowers, annual produce and medicinal hemp. I’m our resident farmer florist. I’m very introverted so social media and marketing is a skill I’m working to develop. Like I have heart palpitations writing this, eeek.
We have 2 kids and a gaggle of pets. We have a 5 acre field that has roughly 1.5 acres in annual cultivation and the other portions are being developed into a permaculture food forest. My passion is growing my flower business through a Flower CSA, a downtown Flower Cart, retail outlets and my newborn Labor of Love and Birth Bundle endeavor. Labor of Love and Birth Bundle arrangements serve as sensory tools to guide and empower women through their pregnancy, labor and tender newborn moments. They mark the transition to motherhood. I’ve been interested in childbirth for 16 years now and feel overwhelmingly excited about the intersectionality between flowers and childbirth. In all my free time I love to cook, have dance parties with my kids, dream with Andy, canoodle with our dogs and craft. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
