Last weekend I finally managed to get my multi-channel Hauptwerk setup up and running in "shared ASIO" mode using the "VoiceMeeter" virtual audio driver. This allows me to play back other audio sources on the PC even when HW is running, which normally would not be possible since applications utilizing ASIO drivers have exclusive access to the output device to reduce latency.
To test it, I had an approx. two-hour play-along with the "Legend of Zelda – Breath of the Wild" soundtrack, which I'm currently mastering in 7.1 surround mode before the final 7.1 surround FLAC and 2.0 stereo downmix MP3 are spit out at the end. Once this is done, you may expect some uploads on YouTube with the results...
Meanwhile, "Breath of the Pipes" production is making progress...
So here's a little teaser for the things to come — brace for impact! :-)
