The Walking Dead returns with their mid season premiere in just two days! Let's all hope this premiere has as much action as some of the previous premieres have had. Now is the time to catch up if you haven't already. AMC is running a marathon leading up to the new episode. The first seven seasons are on Netflix for easy catching up. The new episode is season 8 episode 9 and it airs Sunday night. If you don't have AMC, you can download their app and watch the episode after it airs without logging in.
The Walking Dead is a great TV show. If you have not seen it or aren't caught up, please do not read below the picture as there will be a spoiler!

SPOILER ALERT BELOW
SPOILER BELOW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN SEASON 8 EPISODE 8
You've been warned so here it comes. It is time to talk about what happened in the mid season finale. Carl was bitten by a walker! Obviously we have seen many characters die throughout the seasons but Carl being bitten is huge. Carl suffered this soon to be fatal injury while helping a traveler he met. Does this teach us that we should not help strangers and always listen to our parents? Or is the lesson that we each much choose our own path and make our own decisions?
Perhaps the better question is what is to become of Carl? I liked Carl's idea of allowing Negan to kill him as the one person that must die for Alexandria's betrayal. But that seems too easy. Maybe they will allow Negan to take Carl and he will turn and bite Negan. This would be a great way for Negan to die but I personally think it will be Rick who kills Negan since he has said he would do it many times. The one thing we know for sure is that Carl's days are numbered.
We have just over 50 hours until this new episode airs. So let's start a conversation about this great TV show. What do you think happens to Carl? I'd love to hear more theories.
