We couldn't believe there was this huge island right in the middle of Lake Chapala with a huge fort, tons of ruins, old prisons, petroglyphs, walls with cannonball holes and more!

Isla de Mezcala or Mezcala Island is definitely worth the trip if you find yourself near Lake Chapala!
