I just checked, a replacement stk 463 will cost around $10, repair would seem to be the better way to go, hacking it will destroy whatever value it has. Really it should be considered as a novelty piece it was never a great amp and certainly most junk shops have way better amps available for the cost of repairing this thing but if you like the way it looks and that's more important than it's function...
