Go to Start > Run.
- Type sysdm.cpl and click OK.
- In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Under Performance, click Settings.
- In the Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab
- go to change under virtual memory
- unclick automatically manage paging file size for all drives
- click on custom size
- inital size should be industry standard is one and a half times your system RAM (in Windows it's measured and set in MB.) For me i would be 8 x 1024 x 1.5 = 12288MB. Use that as the initial size and make the maximum size a few GB higher - say 14336.
