Taking Jerry Out For A Walk I Found An Interesting Kids Night Event...

What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, while out for a walk with Jerry I started seeing kids with glow sticks running around my hood. I decided to follow the ruckus and go investigate thinking maybe it was a insane birthday party or something. Nope, it was a whole event hosted by the local radio station 100.3FM "The Q". I wish there were things like this when I was a kid, it made me question what the date was like "its not halloween already is it?" How times have changed and it's good to see that all the performers were kids themselves.

My favourite was the youngest group, very simple but more personal than just a dancing performance. They had a olde timey announcer speaking in tongues and it was a complete throwback to the times of Kings with the knights of the round table paying respect to the king. The King was a live performer also who sang and played his odd sounding stringed instrument while the knights continued performing. I think the parents of these children must be proud, takes a lot of courage to put on a performance like this and I know I would have shied away.

As it was I felt odd walking around with my camera recording everything, even had an interaction with one of the parents asking which child was mine. I explained I don't have children and I am a vlogger, her answer was "that's an odd hobby" which just reinforced my feelings of being out of place. Guess you could say this is my first real public recording, at least in a very busy setting which everyone kept giving me odd looks. The situation was further complicated by trying to navigate through the crowds with Jerry, he was a little uncomfortable so I tended to stay off to the side constantly reassuring him everything was fine.
