Playa del Carmen has a seaweed problem at the moment and it has been ongoing for close to a year now. It is typical for Playa to get this sargazo but it typically only lasts for about a month each year.

Since we wanted to get in a seaweed-free beach day, we decided to take the ferry over to Cozumel Island to see what we could find. Man, the Cozumel waters did not disappoint!
