So, I've now broken the ice, so to say!
Figured I have to start somewhere, so what better place than in front of my house, where you can see the wonders of Winter!
Unfortunately I didn't catch the idiot with the snow plow, who pushes all the snow up in front of the driveway, maybe it's better that he wasn't round when I was filming this, would have had to figure out how to add the "BEEP" sound over half the ruddy video!
There is one thing that you shall notice in the video, that may look a little "different" or out of the "ordinary", that is a crucifix in my neighbours front yard.
Well the story behind that one is that in many of the Western European countries, prior to Stop signs at intersections the locals would put up a crucifix to mark the intersection. As there were way less houses back then, a drunk bugger on a horse and cart/buggy would be able to see the crucifix from far away and prepare the horses to stop. No bloody disk brakes back in those days!
So when you think about it, it does make a lot of sense, especially when you take into consideration the history of this part of Europe, with all the wars and so on when the Ottoman Empire was doing all its nasty things here, somewhat similar, or in fact same as what we see happening in some parts of this world even today!
Soon enough I'll be kicking Stephen Spielbergs but as far as movie making goes, just bear with me. First I need to figure out how to turn the ruddy video thingamobob on my phone on and off when I want to, and not when it wants to, like these phones have a mind of their own and it works along the lines of "lets mess around with Jack"!
