Today, I have just realized that Steemit updated a new feature. It is for transferring money on Steemit. Before, we moved funds to another steemit account with just 2 steps: fill recipient, amount of SBD/STEEM, memo, then Submit to fill your key and send.
That's all.
But now, Steemit updated and put one more step "Confirm Transfer" into the process. After the first step and before you fill your key, there is a step look like this.
It is like a "double - check" before sending money, to help users make sure that there is nothing wrong with their transaction. Just one more step. It doesn't make the transferring process more complicated but really useful for someones who tend to use steemit by phone like me. When you transfer money by phone, it is really easy to get some mistakes, even terrible mistakes.
You may not know that I sent 550 STEEM (when STEEM price was at $10) by mistake. Firstly, I just meant to send 0.1 STEEM to say thank you via memo to a stranger who had voted me generously several times. But I was using phone, and I clicked "Balance" and sent all STEEM in my wallet. It means, I sent $5500 just to say "thank you". lol.
Fortunately, he was so kind and gave money back to me. But in other cases, I dont think I could get money back.
You can see? That is what happens when Steemit doesn't have the feature to check the transaction one more time before sending and you also forget to do "double check". I tasted the feelling of losing money by mistake, so that is why I really love this new feature of Steemit.
With this feature, I believe that there will be no one who loses money in the same way with me. Thank developer team of Steemit for bringing this useful feature for us.
Is there anything new on steemit which I don't know?
