I love Korean food including black noodles (the noodles in black bean sauce). But black noodles sold in Korean restaurants in Vietnam isn't good. It doesn't even look like a kind of black noodle I saw in Korean TV shows.
So instead of buying in restaurants, I prefer cooking at home with a kind of instant black noodles recommended by my Korean friend. I can customize it to be my own version such as adding cheese, putting egg,... I got addicted to it.
My friend promised that he would bring me to try real one in Korea and he made it came true. I went to the restaurant specializing in black noodles in Seoul to try original one.
It's not bad, of course, especially it gets more delicious when eating with some side dishes: yellow kimchi (I call it in my own way. lol), tangsuyuk (a kind of pork covered by fried rice powder or flour). It was cooked with onion, pork, black sauce, some toppings such as sesame, cucumber, ...
But I still felt it's lack of some flavor that existed in instant noodle I had cooked at home before.
I thought it might be because of that restaurant's style wasn't fit with me, so my friend brought me to a different restaurant which was also famous for black noodles in that area. It was better than the first one.
But weirdly, I was still not satisfied. I kept comparing with instant black noodles and concluded that instant one was the best Black noodles I had ever had.
I wrote a post that will show you the right way to cook the perfect instant black noodle. Here
Original black noodles and Instant black noodle? What do you prefer?
Hmmm, the answer for that title is quite obvious, isn't it?
Who is gonna prefer instant stuff?
There must be some one.
Yea. It's me.
P.s: No matter what kind you prefer. Better is you shouldn’t kiss after eating black noodles. :)) It isn’t cool.
