We 'Cut the Cord' - we switched our home phone from land land to VOIP, (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and we're not going back.

Our phone service comes thru the internet at no extra cost - a savings of over $30 a month :)
No special phones needed and we kept the same phone number.
Quality of Service
At first the call quality was poor - conversations echoed or worse, there were dropped words, dead spots.
We worked with our provider and they tested everything. They sent us a new box - and - now you can't tell that we are not on a land line. The call quality is excellent.
Bottom Line - It works great and saves us money every month too!
