This is interesting. To court the Millennial vote, Hilary plans to unveiled a new public service program that puts people to work in public service projects, while also strengthening the existing AmeriCoprs and PeaceCorps. Critics, skeptical of her motives, have derided this as modern-day slavery.
Personally, I find this new new deal proposal intriguing. Tech will render most jobs obsolete. The lackluster econ means that students will be struggling with under the weight of their crippling debt for decades. If this gives the young generation new skills, healthcare and loan forgiveness, then why not give it a shot.
