Defending champion Jakarta Pertamina Energi must recognize the excellence of Jakarta's PGN Popsivo in the final of the 2019 Proliga
The match was held at Among Rogo Sports Hall, Yogyakarta on Saturday, ending with a score of 3-2 for Popsivo. Popsivo's libero exit, Berlian Marsheila, at the start of the first set, seemed to have overwhelmed the Indonesian Police team to stem the attack of Bethania De La Cruz who appeared neatly at the start of this fight and finished the Popsivo resistance with 25-15. Popsivo, who wants to end the fasting title since last in 2013, tried to get up in the second set.
The exchange of attacks through a long rally was shown by both teams, before Popsivo took the lead 13-10 before technical time out until finally Popsivo closed the set with 25-22. Buying and selling attacks is still visible until the third set in which Pertamina Energy with the Dominican player De La Cruz becomes the motor of attack.
Ahead of the technical time out the position was balanced 15-15, until a long rally occurred before Amalia Fajrina ended the sale and purchase of attacks and made the Popsivo equalize 18. However, again de la Cruz ended the third set with a score of 25-21 and brought Pertamina Energy to the lead while 2-1.
Popsivo showed tough resistance in the fourth set, until the match reached a score of 20-20. Before de la Cruz's mistake, Popsivo took the lead in the crunch period and finished the set with 25-23 for Popsivo. In the deciding set, the pace of Popsivo to end their title fast was unstoppable.
Had a 5-point lead with 5-10 for Popsivo, Aprilia Manganang became one of the central players who marked the rise of Popsivo over defending champions Pertamina Energi. Manganang increasingly brought popsivo away with 13-7 before his mistake which hit the net made it 13-8.
The three consecutive points made by de la Cruz when Pertamina Energi lagged behind 11-14 were unable to save Pertamina Energi from defeat, Popsivo closed the set with 15-12 with a score of 3-2 for Popsivo.
