"Happy Children's Day", this I hear once every year and it usually makes me think, why do we really celebrate this day just once yearly? Everyday, children are being born, so what is the one day celebration about? It is important to note that unlike birthday in which the celebrant feels special even after the day, same can't be said about children's day. I doubt if children in my country receive gifts on children's day to make them feel celebrated and important.
Adults determine what the day should look like for the kids, these children don't even get to choose what they want and do things their way. It is important that on Children's day, these little ones should be allowed to be children for real. Create a playful environment where teens and children can gather together and have fun their own way. Allow them to see life the way they want. Doing this for the children would have more lasting effect on the children because it means they would be able to say they had fun with their peers truly.
In the end, I'd wish we have Children's Day Everyday, life will be more interesting that way. After all, it seems everyday is "Adults Day" because you would majorly find stories that only the adults can relate with in the news and all over the social media. It is my hope that soon, everyday will be "Children's Day" too. Until then, HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY TO ALL CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD
