The African society holds marriage at great esteem. It is a sacred union that shouldn't be joke with.
Traditionally, the wife is under obligation to fulfill 3 fundamental functions towards her husband. She has to be like a mother to her husband (taking care of him like a mother takes care of his child), she has to be like a sister to him (having brotherly bonds, sympathetic relationship with her husband like the kind a brother and sister shares) and finally, she has to be his lover ( sharing intimacy). The husband on the other hand is equally saddle with almost the same responsibilities. He is to also perform 3 unique functions namely; being a father, a brother and a husband to his wife.
Believe me when i say we are unique people.
