Proverbs. 31:1-7Proverbs 31:1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. 31:2 What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: 31:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. 31:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. 31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
As I read the Bible I come to understand more clearly the stand of God on alcohol it's accomplices womanizing, it is for these reasons that I want to take us to a very meticulous study of this above mentioned scriptural passage.
Firstly I would like to let you know that you are a king, that is how God sees you, he never take you for a common entity, you are the only image of God here on earth, imagine God giving his only begotten son just for you.
Alcohol and women is the strongest weapon Satan uses to destroy kings, he used to destroy Noah after the flood, he used to dismantle the almighty Samson, David was trapped by the nakedness of the wife of Uriah, Lots daughters were able to sleep with their father only after they have made him drunk of wine, even some great men of today who we know were also destroyed by this two things.
Whenever a man began to drink he began to lose his strengths not actually his physical manpower alone but his spiritual strength to do the right things, to think the right thoughts, to say the right words, he is now vulnerable for Satan manipulation, you often hear people say he did that under the influence of alcohol or I can't resist the nakedness of that woman or lady, why, because there is an influence in control of a drunkard, there is a power that posses a man who vows never to look at nothing else except the buttock of a woman, this influence is the spirit of the enemy, that very Satan that has destroyed kings and now is hunting your royal destiny to destroy it.
Woe unto him that rise up early in the morning to mix wine or who gives himself to strong drinks and wild parties Isaiah 5 down, because the way of the house of a prostitute is a gate of death Proverbs 7 down.
Someone may ask what are the woes and the death I am talking about, they are the agony of a man who wasted his strength and money on women and strong drinks, they are the cry of a man who lost his kingship at the alter of beer, they are the regrets of a man who destroyed his home because of alcohol and women, the strongest woe that can befall a man is the doom of eternity in hell fire, the cry of a sinner who refuses to repent and eternity meets with him.
Today Jesus is reaching out to you, he can save you only if you will believe in him and reject sin of drinking and womanizing today, just pray with me and say lord Jesus come into my life and save me Amen. Have a wonderful day and God bless you.
