Today, I would like to tell you about a beautiful park located in the heart of Abuja. The name of this park is THE MILLENNIUM PARK and it is located in Maitama, Abuja.
This park is the most beautiful and largest park in Abuja. It boasts of a fountain, playground for the kids and lots of beautiful trees, spread out in over 80 acres of land.
The park was commissioned by Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. The Nigerian President at that time was Olusegun Obasanjo.
During the weekends, the park is a bee hive of opportunities. A lot activities are held there, from birthdays to picnics. It is a also a popular place for couples to take their pre-wedding pictures.

Yesterday, I went there to take some pictures. I love how the place is well taken care of. The grasses don't just look green but are also lush. There are a lot of trees their that provide shade for people who come to have a picnic. It is truly a sight to behold.
