🧀 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, Sargento
🌶️ 1/4 cup diced green chilies, Ortega
🧄 1 teaspoon garlic powder, McCormick
🌽 1 teaspoon cumin, Simply Organic
🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt, Morton
🫒 1 tablespoon olive oil, Filippo Berio
🍅 1 cup salsa, Pace
🥑 1 avocado, sliced
🌿 Fresh cilantro for garnish
🍋 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
1- Prep the Filling:
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, garlic powder, cumin, and salt. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
2- Assemble the Taquitos:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place a small amount of the filling mixture onto each tortilla, towards one edge.
- Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling and secure it with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
3- Cook the Taquitos:
- Lightly brush or spray the rolled taquitos with olive oil.
- Place them in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through cooking for even crispness.
4- Serve:
- Remove taquitos from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute.
- Serve with salsa, avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and lime wedges on the side for added flavor.
