Ingredients
🍖 1 pound ground beef
🧅 1 large onion, diced
🧄 4 cloves garlic, minced
🥫 2 heaping tablespoons tomato paste
🧂 1 teaspoon salt
🌿 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🧄 1 teaspoon onion powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika
🌿 1 teaspoon oregano
🌿 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
🍅 1 28oz jar marinara sauce (your favorite)
🍗 3 cups chicken broth (add more if you want it to be more runny)
🍝 10-12 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into approx. 1-2 inch pieces
🥛 1 cup heavy cream
🌿 Fresh basil, a handful chopped
Ricotta Cheese Topping:
🧀 1 cup Ricotta cheese
🧀 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
🧀 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
🌿 Fresh parsley
🌿 Fresh basil
🧂 Pinch of salt
🧂 Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
1- Cooking the Meat:
- Heat a large Dutch oven or large soup pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the garlic and onion, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until the onion is tender.
2- Adding Paste and Seasonings:
- Stir in the tomato paste and seasonings.
- Mix well until the tomato paste is fully combined and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
3- Introducing Liquids:
- Add the marinara sauce and chicken broth.
- Stir well, cover, and bring to a boil.
4- Cooking the Noodles:
- Drop in the broken lasagna noodles.
- Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender (approximately 20-30 minutes).
5- Finalizing the Soup:
- Once noodles are cooked, stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil.
- Let simmer for a couple more minutes while you prepare the cheese topping.
6- Preparing the Cheese Topping:
