The bottles of Amuerte Gin are finished with real 24 karat gold foil, they have a skull on the label and they are filled with a spirit that "will raise the gin standards forever" as the manufacturer claims.
It's true - it is made with a selection of exotic ingredients, including coca leaf from Peru, tamarillo, papaya, Szechuan pepper and dragon fruit, and it's still presented in a stylish bottle finished with gold leaf.
The taste of the gin is impressive, it caresses the tongue and enlivens the atmosphere. Quite the opposite of its deadly name Amuerte, it lifts the mood and makes the room livelier.
But you must pay for it, because it is not as cheap as you may think.
Amuerte Coca Leaf Gin, Black or White edition, comes from Belgium and you must pay over 50 Euro for a bottle with 70cl and 43% alc.
