This video review dives into the Surefire 6PX Tactical flashlight, unravelling its key features and strengths. Produced by a US-based company specializing in lights and torches, the Surefire 6PX lures attention with its remarkable durability, akin to a tank. Its construction entails a solid mix of high-strength aerospace aluminium and a moulded grip. Its light head is crafted from polycarbonate, trumping weaker alternatives. An impressive LED bulb housed within delivers 200 lumens lasting for approximately 2.5 hours via two 123A lithium batteries. This flashlight also comes in a newer 320 lumens model and both models are waterproof.
Operating the torch is fairly easy by pressing or twisting the tailcap switch as needed. In terms of brightness, it is worth noting the torch's ability to illuminate road signs around 200-300 metres away, highlighting its surprising reach. Although it warms up noticeably with continuous use, it’s tolerable, and even welcoming in colder seasons. Despite its petite size, it proves handy and functional for survivalists and dog-walkers alike, fitting comfortably in coat pockets. Available on the Surefire website, this exceptional torch certainly justifies its $90 price tag, even including the two lithium batteries.
