This was my first Steemfest and I was completely blown away by the experience! Steemfest Bangkok made me understand why its called a festival rather than a conference. Impressed by the beauty of the surrounding city and its liveliness, I was especially inspired by the people I had met and spoke to. I was surprised by how open and kind everyone attending the conference was that even in such a short time, I was able to meet some great people and make some new friends! This was the first time I was able to connect with a group of people who understand and are passionate about crypto and the Steem platform, making for some amazing conversations. I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to @Roelandp and the team of volunteers who helped organize this event and making it a truly unforgettable first Steemfest. I know this will be the first of many for me!
On the first day of the speaker series, I was excited to meet @Dylanhobalart, a fellow Canadian from Calgary who was fascinated by the idea of utilizing the Steem as a business platform and the potential it holds. @Tronarcade and @Crazysailor’s positivity and openness made for a great conversation! They delivered some great feedback for the Waivio platform that @Grampo and I are currently developing. @Crazysailor’s expertise in yachts and boating inspired me to think further on how the reward platform could be implemented in other industries. It was awesome to hear @Detlev’s project using “Beer Coin” and “Beerpong” via crypto to engage the beer loving community, thanks for your support on SPS! @CryptoBrewmasters with @Rollie1212 and @Gengua targets both beer consumers and beer brewers, uniting people with their love for beer via an engaging game on Steem. It would be incredibly beneficial to get the expertise of beer connoisseurs and anybody who enjoys a nice glass of beer shared between all the related apps on the Steem blockchain.
@Martibis new app called HaveYouBeenHere.com is a fantastic way to bring the traveling community together worldwide! I was impressed by his commitment and passion to unite fellow travelers via a social media platform where their posts could also transcend to their Steem accounts. What a great way to introduce new users to the platform! People who travel have some great tips and preferences on places to eat around the world. It would be awesome to connect them to a reward platform to share their dining experiences and earn while traveling! @Louis88 is an expert in designing websites and his feedback for the layout and user accessibility of Waivio site was positive and encouraging! I hope we can work together to make cool templates for custom websites on the Waivio platform.
I enjoyed chatting with @Fabianklauder and who originally met at #Steemfest3 in Krakow and welcomed me. We had a lot of interesting chats about the future of Steem. Meeting another Vancouverite @Crimsonclad at the fest was really awesome and maybe we can start meetups in our city. And someone mentioned that @Anyx is also based in Vancouver. I had an interesting chat with @Jarvie about Hive Communities to bring steem users together and customize the user feed page more effectively. A special shout out to @Fitinfun for her encouragement and reaching out to her fellow Minnows to upvote Waivio on the Steem Proposal list, your support is greatly appreciated!I have met dozens of people during the festival and we’ve had tons of great conversations that would be difficult to fully list out here. I am excited to stay connected!
