A tag I have seen some friends use is the Walk With Me tag. Being homeless, we walk A LOT. And it just so happens we live in a super beautiful place, I look forward to sharing our experiences with you. 💙
I try really hard to make sure the trio do not miss out on fun activities other kids get to enjoy. Today was the "Cold Front Festival" here in Duluth, so we made the walk down the hill so we could take part in the festivities.
This church is right outside our shelter.
A shop the trio always love peering into, the tiny succulent plants in the window make them coo like they've seen a puppy.
A shot of Superior Street.
Fishy bike racks at the library.
We tried to catch the trolly half a dozen times, but never seemed to be in the right place at the right time, haha!
We took the skyway to stay warm and saw this bouey on the Lake Walk when we returned to street level. Pretty neat, Sparrow scurried up there and rang the bell.
The Minnesota Slipbridge. It opens in the middle to let sailboats through in the warmer months.
Fishy! With the Ariel Lift Bridge in the background.
Tents with vendors were set up, Hot Coco abounded and fire pits placed strategically to keep folks warm.
A snow track was built to climb and slide down, the trio went four times, huge smiles on those little faces!
A big thing for us, none of us had ever been on ice skates before. Even the littlest was able to skate by the time we left and Inari did NOT want to go, lol.
We had a great time today, totally worth the long, hard walk back up the hill in the cold.
