After a Five Day Hiatus...

I finally felt well enough to get out for a walk this morning. I had to get out early today because it was a balmy +8 degrees Celsius and they were calling for rain later in the afternoon. #WalkWithMe in Hacketts Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Puddle Barometer: Water on ice...it's warm out!

There's water on ice everywhere, I feel so bad for the little chickens, they were skating around everywhere this morning. The above photo is one of their little paths that we shovel for them, this path goes to the small hothouse where they dust bath and enjoy being out of the wind.

I'm not sure what type of water fowl that was...

I've only taken this road once before, and there's no hills, so it was the obvious choice today...

I've been walking for about 15-20 minutes now, and all I have done is end up right across the water from our backyard.

Recognize the fish house from our backyard? Now you see it from a much different angle. And no, you can't travel across that ice. The rising and falling of the tide makes the ice very uneven and treacherous.
